We are super pleased to let you all know that we are officially rated “Good” by Ofsted. Here is the Ofsted report, if you would like to read it.
We have been on a long journey to get here and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our wonderful nursery families and our amazing staff. So thank you all, you’re amazing.
This was our first inspection so we are delighted with our rating, the report is lovely. The inspector advised us to do two things and we’ve already achieved them!
Following the government advice, and having discussed with the local council, we regret to announce that Ready Set Grow Nursery will be providing only limited service from end of day on Friday March 20th, 2020.
We will remain open during this time, but only to care for children who meet the criteria defined by the government, including:
Please see the government information for parents and carers for more details, including a list of “Key Workers”
However, the advice remains that if your child can be looked after safely at home do NOT send them to nursery. Do NOT have grandparents look after them. If your child has a temperature above 37.8C or a new and continuous cough, do NOT send them to nursery.
We will be contacting the carers of our registered children today to agree whether they will be able to attend nursery next week, but please feel free to contact us directly with any questions.
We will also consider accepting new children who meet the criteria for care during the closure, as we appreciate that some Key Workers might need additional support during this time. We will do our best to accept adhoc bookings, we will not require agreement to longer term placement, and we will extend our normal NHS, Emergency Services and Armed Forces discounts to ALL designated Key Workers during this crisis.
Following today’s announcements, we are offering discounted spaces to families who meet Government guidelines to keep their children in childcare during the school closures.
Please message us for prices – we will also consider children who are entitled to funded places.
See the government website for more details
After schools shut their gates on Friday afternoon, they will remain closed until further notice except for children of key workers and vulnerable children, as part of the country’s ongoing response to coronavirus.
Examples of these workers include NHS staff, police and supermarket delivery drivers who need to be able to go to work to support the country’s fight to tackle coronavirus. Vulnerable children include those who have a social worker and those with Education, Health and Care Plans – a legal document that describes a child’s special educational needs and the support they require.
Children who do not fall into these groups should remain at home with appropriate care.
Our new term starts on 20/04/2020.
If you’re interested get in touch to arrange a visit.
Like you, we have been watching the news on the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 with concern.
It is our intention that Ready Set Grow Nursery will remain fully open and operational as usual, unless official government guidance tells us otherwise.
We would like to reassure you that the health and safety of your children is our top priority.
We would also like to remind you of our sickness policy and ask that children who are unwell (particularly those showing symptoms of cold or flu – including cough, high temperature or shortness of breath) be kept at home.
For further guidance on COVID-19, we recommend the official NHS website
We are enrolling for September.
Our new term starts on 3/9/19
If your child is entitled to funding you only have until the end of August to apply.
